Principio Asphalt Plant Update

Everything is on-track for York Building Products’ early fall launch of the new Principio Asphalt business at 1079 Belvidere Road, North East, MD. The silos just went up several days ago. Kudos to the teams for working through supply chain disruptions to help keep this project on schedule.

This new 400 ton-per-hour plant will feature several state-of-the-art functions, such as the capability to blend 50% of recycled asphalt product (RAP) into mixes, reducing the use of stone and virgin liquid asphalt. This new plant also features a second mixing drum for uniform mixes and four 300-ton heated silos for continuous availability of the mixes the customers need.
