Supporting the Causes Close to Our Hearts: Food Insecurity in Our Community

At Stewart Companies, we believe in standing with our communities. As part of that commitment, we feel it is important to shine a spotlight on pressing areas of need and the incredible organizations working to meet them.

Food insecurity is a challenge that impacts a staggering number of individuals and families across our local region. In York County alone, thousands face the daily struggle of not having enough to eat.

In 2024, the York County Food Bank (YCFB) responded to this need by:

-Serving more than 13,400 households

-Distributing over 4.15 million pounds of food

-Delivering 11,988 Senior Food Boxes through a programmatic partnership with DoorDash

-Supporting 1,107 individuals through their innovative Online Pantry Program, including 878 children, 254 seniors and 511 adults

We’re honored to support York County Food Bank and their mission to eliminate hunger. Recently, members of our team returned to volunteer at their facility, helping prepare more than 1,000 food boxes for local distribution. But this work is about so much more than numbers—it’s about dignity, care, and community. Food is a basic human right, yet too many of our neighbors go without.
