Stewart & Tate Recognizes Dave Whitcomb

Dave Whitcomb has been a dedicated member of Stewart & Tate for 38 years. He began his career as a laborer and quickly advanced, gaining hands-on experience while assisting various surveyors. Through on-the-job training, he developed his expertise and, for the past 28 years, has served as a surveyor. Over the years, he has witnessed the transformation of surveying technology—from transits and manual calculations to GPS and computer-based tools. Now, he is passing on his extensive knowledge to Austin Anderson, who assists him in the field.

Dave primarily supports our sitework group, setting grades and laying out curb lines, water lines, sanitary sewer lines, and retaining walls. He also works closely with the industrial group, preparing layouts for foundations and piers before concrete pours. Outside of work, Dave enjoys spending time with his family and outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, and biking.
