Stewart & Tate Recognized for Work on Crispus Attucks History & Culture Center
Stewart & Tate joined the project team to accept the 2025 Top Project Award from the Central Penn Business Journal for the Crispus Attucks History & Culture Center in York, PA.
This 19,500-square-foot cultural center features a flexible 120-person event pavilion and three stories of exhibition galleries within a pioneering mass timber-framed structure—one of the few of its kind in South Central Pennsylvania. The design reflects the surrounding neighborhood while highlighting themes from the Underground Railroad, Great Migration, and Civil Rights movement, honoring the community’s past and inspiring its future.
Accepting the award were Christina McCullough (Stewart & Tate), the Murphy & Dittenhafer Architects project team, and Scott Deisley (Crispus Attucks History & Culture Center).
We’re incredibly proud to have been part of this meaningful project and extend our sincere thanks to all members of the project team for their collaboration, expertise, and dedication in bringing this important community space to life.
