Project Update – York College Northside Commons

Work by Stewart & Tate Construction at Northside Commons on the campus of York College of Pennsylvania continues to advance steadily, with significant progress across the building envelope, interior construction, and core building systems installation.

The main roof shingles are now installed, and installation of the rubber roof is being finalized. Brick veneer installation has begun on the east side of the building, while the exterior CMU weather barrier is being applied ahead of masonry activities. MEP crews are actively installing ductwork, electrical rough-ins, and sprinkler piping within the truss attic area, with additional MEP work progressing across all five levels below.

Interior metal stud framing continues throughout the building, with drywall installation beginning on first-floor dorm room ceilings. Acoustical ceiling grid installation has started on the first and second floors. Ceramic tile installation is complete on floors one through three and continues on floors four and five. Interior painting remains ongoing across multiple areas. Elevator installation has officially begun, and fireproofing of interior steel beams is scheduled to begin in the very near future.

Upcoming 30-Day Lookahead:
Work will focus on brick and cast stone veneer installation, continued interior MEP installation, interior painting, ceramic tile installation, metal stud framing, and acoustical ceiling grid installation.
