Congratulations to Jace Williams, the 2025 recipient of the Richard D. Poole Scholarship!

This $1,000 scholarship, awarded annually by Stewart & Tate, honors the legacy of Rick Poole—the founder of Poole Construction, now Stewart & Tate Construction’s Building Group.

The scholarship recipient is chosen through an essay contest judged by three individuals. Eligible applicants include high school seniors who are immediate family members of full-time employees at Stewart & Tate, Lewis Contractors, or Riley Welding & Fabricating and who plan to pursue higher education.

This year, we received a record four essay submissions for the award. It’s always inspiring to read the goals and ambitions of the next generation as they plan for their futures. Each essay was well written, and our panel of anonymous judges gave thoughtful consideration in selecting this year’s winner.

Jace plans to study Computer Science, where he looks forward to engaging in team-based problem solving and exploring innovative solutions.

Jace is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Williams. Rick is a 10-year veteran of Lewis Contractors and currently serves as a Carpenter/Foreman.
