Beasley Ford Joins Apple Automotive

Beasley Ford Lincoln has closed a deal that makes the longtime Springettsbury Township dealership a member of the Apple Automotive Group.

The buy/sell agreement became effective late Monday afternoon, said Matt Kugle, chief operating officer of the Apple Automotive Group.

Originally known as Carl Beasley Ford, the Springettsbury Township dealership has called York County home since the mid-1930s.  In 1966, the company opened its current dealership at 1801 Whiteford Road.

While Beasley Ford is the latest dealership to come under the group’s banner, Apple has spent at least the past 12 years expanding its footprint across York County.

In 2001, Apple Automotive bought the former Heritage Honda of York – a deal that would eventually lead to the construction of the current Apple Honda dealership at Route 30 and Roosevelt Avenue in York.

Two years later, Apple Automotive bought the former Shaull Cadillac Oldsmobile and BMW in York Township.  Apple later built a BMW and Cadillac dealership at its Auto Park in York.

In 2007, Apple bought York Nissan in Springettsbury Township.  The name later changed to Apple Nissan.
